Google will not allow users to select and use third party camera apps while taking photos and recording videos on another app. So, if you have to use the camera to click on a white photo using a dating app, you will have to go for the default Google camera app and won’t be able to use a third-party app to click and Download. This does not mean that you will not be able to use third parties camera apps at all. You can still use them to click photos and download them from the gallery while using another app.
The reason Google does this is to protect you from malicious apps that can click and steal photos secretly. According to a report from Android Police, “Google will also prevent app developers from easily providing their own interface.”
If you’re comfortable with the preinstalled camera app, this change won’t be a problem for you. But if you are someone who has multiple camera apps on the phone, this feature will be pretty boring. So when you use a phone with Android 11, you want to click on a photo and post something on social media, you will no longer have the list of camera apps to choose from. Instead, you’ll have to rely on the default app. If you want to use another app, you will need to click and save an image first and then download it.
Meanwhile, Google has rolled out the final beta version of the Android 11 operating system. Google is also asking all Android app and game developers to complete their compatibility tests and release their updates soon. He confirmed the release of the final version of Android 11 for Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and ecosystem in the third quarter of 2020.
