iOS 14 includes a number of changes and new features with the Photos and Camera apps. One of those minor tweaks, but something many will find useful, is the ability to change the default orientation of images captured with the front camera. Read along on how to mirror iPhone selfies.

It’s safe to say that social media apps have gotten us used to the look of mirrored selfies, this is what you see in the preview image is what you get when you capture a photo of yourself -same.

However, when taking selfies with the front camera on iPhone in the Camera app by default, the saved image is the opposite of the mirror image shown in the preview (you can use the Edit option to change the orientation later, but this may become a problem). With iOS 14, Apple is offering an easy way to change the default orientation for selfies if you want a consistent experience across all the apps you take a selfie.

How to mirror iPhone selfies in iOS 14

  1. On open iPhone Settings
  2. Swipe down and tap Camera
  3. A little more than halfway, look for the Front mirror camera to fall over
