Samsung released an all-new camera app for pro-grade imaging on its high-end smartphones last month. The Expert RAW camera app, which is currently compatible with the Galaxy S21 series, has now been updated to fix some bugs and improve the UI design.

The South Korean firm announced via Samsung members forum that the latest version (1.0.00.16) of the Expert RAW Camera app brings several bug fixes and performance improvements. The app now features an improved UI design for opening images in the Adobe Lightroom app. It also provides better image quality in low light conditions.

The new version of the Expert RAW camera app also fixes blurring issues towards the end of DNG files. It also fixes the app not opening issue on some Galaxy S21 series smartphones. The company is working on fixing other bugs, including those related to bad pixels in images captured using telephoto lenses and images that break during manual exposure.

The forum moderator also said that Samsung is working to optimize the app’s performance and adapt it to more smartphones. It’s clear that the app needs a lot of frames to work, and only high-end phones would work well with the app. It is likely that the app will be limited to recently launched Galaxy Note, Galaxy S, and Galaxy Z series devices.
