YOUR iPhone has a hidden camera app that you may have never used.
The app is very convenient – and you can find it in several different ways.
It’s called Magnifier and it provides big zoom so you can read small text.
You can also examine tiny objects using the nifty Apple characteristic.
And it even has special color filters to make certain things easier to see.
One way to find it is to simply search for it.
Swipe down from the top of the Home screen, then tap Magnifier.
It may be useful to place the app in an obvious place on your home screen for future use.
You can also use the side button to open the magnifying glass.
Go to Settings, then enter Accessibility and search for accessibility shortcuts.
Then enable the magnifying glass for the “Triple click on side button” setting.
Now when you triple click the side button, the Magnifier app opens.
But potentially even better, use the Back Tap feature.
To enable the feature, make sure you have updated to iOS 14 or later. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Then go to your Settings.
Scroll down and tap on “Accessibility”, then click on “Touch”.
Then scroll down to “Back Tap”.
You will have the choice to activate “Double Tap” or “Triple Tap”.
Whichever you choose, you get the same options.
Click to see the features you can now control by double or triple tapping the back of your iPhone.
They include taking screenshots, volume up or down, magnification, scrolling, and more.
Choose Magnifier for one of them, then you can launch the app by pressing the back of your iPhone.
Keep in mind that this feature may not work if you have a thick phone case.
You can change the functionality of the Back Tap commands or disable them at any time by following the same steps above.
