Luckily, your iPhone has a little-known feature that makes your life easier.

The Apple logo on the back of the device can act as a button for actions such as taking a screenshot or opening the camera.

It’s called “Back Tap,” and it was introduced with the iOS 14 software update rolling out to iPhones in 2020.

How to Use Back Tap on iPhone

To enable the feature, make sure you have updated to iOS 14 or later. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Then go to your Settings.

Scroll down and tap “Accessibility”, then tap “Touch”.

Then scroll down to “Back Tap”.

You will have the choice to activate “Double Tap” or “Triple Tap”.

Whichever you choose, you get the same options.

Tap to see features you can now control by double or triple tapping the back of your phone.

They include opening the camera app, taking screenshots, volume up or down, zoom in, scroll, and more.

For example, if you want to use a Double Tap to take screenshots, click on the “Double Tap” option and then check “Screenshot”.

You should now be able to take a screenshot just by double tapping the back of your phone.

Keep in mind that this feature may not work if you have a thick phone case.

You can change the functionality of the Back Tap commands or disable them at any time by following the same steps above.
